OUR STORY

Inspired by Our Journey

Chevening Youth Hub is an independent, Chevening alumni-led initiative inspired by Chevening Awards values and by the educational and leadership journeys of its team members across Chevening Awards, the University of South Wales, the British Council in Wales, and the wider UK higher education ecosystem.

Inspired by these experiences, we created a community that expands opportunities for young people and advances leadership, education, resilience, civic engagement, and positive social impact across conflict-affected contexts.

OUR JOURNEY

From Idea to Impact

Three milestones that shaped Chevening Youth Hub from an idea into a regional platform.

2014

The Spark

The idea began when our founder discovered Chevening and its inspiring global alumni network. Motivated by a strong belief in empowering young people through education, leadership, and meaningful connections, the first vision for what would eventually become Chevening Youth Hub was born.

July 2024

Pilot Launch

The Yemen Chevening Hub officially launched its pilot phase, bringing together Chevening scholars and alumni to support future applicants and strengthen community engagement.

July 2026

Regional Expansion

The organisation evolved into Chevening Youth Hub, becoming an independent regional platform supporting young people across conflict-affected and fragile contexts.
